the Hermannshof
Matthias Kaul composed a music score of 45 - 50 minutes duration with integrated
fireworks, meaning that the use of pyro-technical elements is also notated
in the score. The procedure: in the beginning all pyro-effects - including
the sound - are taped on video, so that the composer can establish a synthesis
between sound, colour and shape of the fire work effects in his music. Furthermore,
the respective locations in the park are of importance for the composition
as well as the choice of the illuminated sections. The events result in a
concert in motion which starts on the terrace of the Hermannshof and ends
somewhere in the park. The music will guide the audience from one location
to the other. In addition to the lightning-like illuminations of the fireworks,
some smoke formations will also be illuminated.
